Welcome - June 2010

As the first entry to this blog, June 2010 sees our daughter, Lauren's first birthday, and a 'seasons' best for 5k on the road for me, albeit, 16min 1second!

As the blog grows I intend to keep it up to date with all my racing and training news as well as news of events in the local area and the latest offers available in the Bolton store.

When time allows I'll also try to add details of my training and racing from previous years and add entries from my old running journals.

Hollins Green 5k road race - Warrington

After a week of only one 3 mile run, due to my legs still being still from last weeks duathlon I managed a seasons best for 5km of 16min01sec, taking 4th place and 1st Vet40.

The race, near Warrington is very good, quiet country lanes and about as flat as you could wish for. 1st place was Damien Nicholls of Wilmslow in 15min 18seconds.
